Motorcycles are the ultimate form of freedom, and there’s nothing like riding one on a sunny, summer day. Whether you’re cruising around with friends, or touring solo, the right motorcycle gear will keep you safe, comfortable, and help you look your best.

Of course, one essential piece of gear that’s often overlooked, but essential nonetheless, is appropriate motorcycle underwear.

For our annual underwear roundup, we invited representatives from our Consumer Electronics Lab, Apparel, Textiles & Materials Lab, and Home Appliances Lab. The lab team looked at each underwear’s comfort and fit, including stretch, comfort, breathability, and dryness.

They also evaluated the durability of each underwear, including stitching, split seams, and elastic endurance. We also looked at special features, such as moisture wicking, anti-odor, quick dry, and UPF protection.

Our experts recommended the following motorcycle underwear, which will keep your butt safe and dry while riding:

1. NICEWIN Mens 4D Padded Bike Shorts Anti-slip Leg Cycling Underwear:

These mountain bike shorts may be pricey, but they’re definitely worth the price. They’re made from a stretchy, quick-drying fabric that keeps the rider cool and comfortable, and they have a bunch of thoughtful features, like a stretchy waistband, smooth flat seams, and silicon leg grippers that keep the shorts in place.

As for fit, they seem to be sized a bit small. We ordered a size up, but the shorts still felt like they zipped up at the crotch. Despite that, the padding is great, and these mountain bike shorts work just as well as the shorts we tested from Castelli.

The NICEWIN padded bike shorts are a versatile option for men who bike, ride motorcycles, or ride in other sports. They’re constructed very neatly, the design is subtle, and the price is excellent.

The NICEWIN Mens 4D Padded Bike Shorts Anti-slip Leg Cycling Underwear Wide WaistBand Biking Bicycle Motorcycle Underpants are great-looking, durable, and made of high-quality material.

The padding makes them very comfortable, even for long rides. The wide waistband keeps them in place without moving around while you ride. These padded bike shorts also look quite fashionable.

If you’re looking for a cheap pair of cycling shorts for your bike, or you’re a cyclist looking for a cheap pair of shorts for your bike, then these padded bike shorts from NICEWIN are an excellent value.

For the price, the Xinni’s armor is well made, with sturdy stitching and a Kevlar-reinforced crotch and knee panel (which some people have said is hard to find).

The Xinni’s armor provides good protection to key areas on a motorcycle and performs well in a battle, although it’s not as protective as full-face helmets.

The Xinni’s armor is affordable, comfortable, and well made. It’s not as protective as a full-face helmet, and we would prefer more secure straps and a more securely attached crotch panel.

But the Xinni’s armor is perfect for anyone who wants something more than cheap jeans and a cheap liner to give their bike a little more protection.

These briefs from Ex-Officio are a step up from the standard, inexpensive briefs that travelers often buy. These have a comfortable, drawstring waist and flat-lock seams that eliminate chafing.

The gusseted crotch is roomy enough for a large man with a little extra room around the waist, and there’s a small, zippered pocket on the front that can fit a small wallet, keys, or other small, travel-friendly items.

The briefs are a bright, subtle blue shade, but they pick up dirt easily. These briefs are a good choice if you want something more comfortable, more breathable, and more durable than the average, dirt-cheap brief, but a step up from, say, a department store variety.

7. MEETYOO Men’s Thermal Underwear:

[amalinkspro type=”showcase” asin=”B07GXJ2Y6M” apilink=”https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GXJ2Y6M?tag=scootertip-20&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1″ new-window=”1″ addtocart=”0″ nofollow=”1″ sc-id=”5″ imgs=”https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31ZIC9+bk+L._SL500_.jpg” link-imgs=”false” btn-color=”#ff9900″ btn-text=”Buy on Amazon” alignment=”alignnone” hide-prime=”0″ hide-image=”0″ hide-price=”1″ hide-button=”0″]MEETYOO Men’s Thermal Underwear Set Sport Long Johns Base Layer Black[/amalinkspro]

This is a great pair of thermals, but don’t expect to let them dry overnight or they will be sopping wet by morning. They don’t feel bulky or heavy like most other thermals, and they’re very soft. In fact, they’re almost TOO soft – they’re almost to the point of being a little uncomfortable.

These thermals are sized for a slim fit, so if you’re not slim, you’ll want to size up. The YOO brand is very well-known in the UK, and as far as I can tell, the sizing matches other UK brands like Esprit and Very.

However, these are a little small – I’m normally a size large, and I bought the medium (L). The fit was ok – no bunching, but I couldn’t zip it up – the arms would just grab me.

When the arms were grabbed, the shirt loosed the compression and I started to feel heavy. I’m 5’10, 150lbs, 25 years old, athletic build, and most men’s thermals are sized that way.

This is a design flaw, and I find it bizarre that men’s thermals would go small when the female versions are sized for women. Anyway, these thermals are good for active sports like skiing, snowshoeing, snowboard, or general outdoors.

Not good for the winter camping, but perfect for use during any kind of workout, especially if you do a lot of cardio (running, biking, cardio machines).

Pros:

  • Prevents colds and flus
  • Reversible
  • Non-pilling, no ironing required
  • Soft, stretchy and comfortable

Cons:

Not ideal for summer wear

The MeetHoo Men’s Thermal Underwear Set is clothing for cold weather activities. Warm, soft, stretchy, and thin, these thermals have excellent thermal properties for wearing in cold weather. The thermal underwear includes a rib-knit neckband, which is soft and stays in place.

The compression base layers fit snugly, are soft, and have just enough compression to support muscles without binding.

The thermals also offer excellent moisture wicking and breathability, so you can stay in them for hours with no discomfort. The three layer construction also allows you to layer additional cold weather base layers on top without adding bulk.

These thermal boxers are quite good, and a little more expensive than competitors, but they still offer plenty of features, including moisture-wicking, quick drying, and flat-lock seams.

The black boxer feels warmer and warmer than white, and the bright color looks a little silly.

The boxer-brief combination is more comfortable than briefs, but if you prefer briefs, you can buy these under briefs. We like the feel, but the quality is not the highest we’ve seen.

With three generous-sized mesh-lined pockets, these boxer brief underwear provide plenty of space for your essentials. The moisture-wicking fabric feels nice, and because these underwear have No-Ride-up construction, they stay securely in place.

The fit is generous without being baggy, and they stay put all day. For men who prefer mesh-lined pockets and No-Ride-up construction, these underwear are a good choice. Also available in a jockstrap style.

These are the most comfortable and best fitting boxer briefs I have ever worn.
I really like the mesh pockets. They are very roomy and perfect for holding my

What Are Motorcycle Riding Underwear?

A motorcycle riding undergarment, also known as riding underwear, is a type of underwear that is worn over regular underwear. However, unlike regular underwear, it is light weight, offers a high level of comfort, and is specifically designed to provide protection during motorcycle riding.

Motorcycle riding underwear is typically comprised of a fabric that has built-in padding, and is designed to offer protection to the groin area and abdominal area. Some riding underwear also offers protection from bumps and scrapes to the lower back.

Some motorcycle riding underwear is specifically designed for female riders, while other motorcycle riding underwear is designed for men.

Why You Need The Right Underwear For Riding?

In addition, you should keep the length of your undergarment in mind. When you select an undergarment, make sure it falls below your boots and does not drag on the ground.
